Our Mission

"Education, Conservation, Fellowship"

The purposes and activities of the Fredericksburg Fly Fishers Club shall be to:

  • To promote and educate the general public on the sport of fly fishing as an enjoyable and sporting method of fishing.

  • to promote fly fishing as a sport consistent with the preservation of game fish resources.

  • To promote the conservation of our recreational resources.

  • To provide assistance to other programs (such as youth programs, therapeutic programs and etc.) by providing educational and or monetary assistance.

  • To engage in fundraising efforts to fund these activities, and

  • To engage in any other activities consistent with Section 501(c)(3) Learn More → of the United States Internal Revenue Code and the Texas Tax Code, Section 11.18.

Some of our time & expertise donations:

  •  Wounder Warriors:
    FFF has have sponsored 3 fishing outings w/ Wounded Warriors.
  • Texas Parks & Wildlife Events:
    FFF has supported by our involvement in TPWD events called Kid Fish and did demo’s of tying @ EXPO in Austin.
  • Schriener University in Kerrville:
    Donated equipment and Member’s time to kick off fly fishing training - Schriener University.
  • Marinist Boys Camp in Mountain Home:
    Donated equipment and Member’s time to fly fishing training – Tecaboca.
  • N. Llano River Owners Assn:
    FFF Club is a Member and supports their conservation efforts.
    • Have attended 2 River Clean up campaigns.
    • Penned letters regarding cedar and river access issues.
  • Casting for Recovery Event:
    • Support participants in the Casting for Recovery event in Feb each year- Central Texas Chapter.
    • FFF acted as River Helpers & Guides for 3 years for the Ladies with or recovering from breast cancer event.

Willow City Fire Dept:
Donated funds to the Willow City Fire Dept for many years to support equipment upgrades by Stanley Rabke.
